Voting/Representatives
Northridge Creek is located in Okaloosa County Precinct 10. Our polling place is conveniently located near the entrance to the subdivision at Covenant Community Church. We are represented by County Commission District 3, Florida Senate District 4, Florida House District 4, U.S. House of Representatives - Florida District 1, and of course, two Senators in the U.S. Senate.

Schools
Elementary
(grades 1-5): Longwood
Although Northridge Creek is in the Kenwood district, children are bussed to Longwood (in Shalimar) to mitigate a child shortage there. Longwood is an open school, meaning classrooms are separated by dividers, rather than solid walls, and may not be appropriate for all children. Waivers must be obtained for children to attend Kenwood and no bus service is provided. Contact the school district for additional information.
Middle School (grades 6-8): Pryor
High School (grades 9-12): Choctawhatchee

Newspaper
The primary newspaper is the NW Florida Daily News

Okaloosa County
The county is responsible for water, sewer, and garbage collection, as well as roadways and storm-water runoff.

City of Fort Walton Beach
We're not inside the city limits, but there's still good information here.

Sheriff
As Northridge Creek is located in an unincorporated section of Fort Walton Beach (with resultant lower taxes!, law enforcement is provided by Okaloosa County, not the City of Fort Walton Beach. The non-emergency number is 651-7400.

Weather

Animal Control (Panhandle Animal Welfare Society - PAWS). The county leash law applies to all pets. Enforcement is the responsibility of the County, not of the Homeowner's Association.
